LA MAISON

Rising signature of the High-End Parisian Decoration, Maison Numéro 20 has been in the market for almost ten years. Founded and directed by Oscar Lucien, the agency is inspired by the 20th century Interior Designers. Like Pierre Chareau, the agency coordinates the Interior Architecture expertise and creative professions within projects in which custom-made is paramount for perfect interiors. Hotels, large residences or other institutions of the night such as 'Le Paradis Latin', carry its mark, in deep and timeless tones, both in France and abroad. Sign of excellence, it reveals the talent of a team made of Architects, Decorators, Space Designers, Graphic Designers as well as experts in Hospitality.

Located opposite the Visconti wood, a bucolic hidden garden of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Maison Numéro 20 benefits from the proximity of the Capital's most prestigious publishers, design showrooms, antique shops and art galleries. Thanks to this endless target market of discoveries, it imposes a theatrical and eclectic style, which associates the joy of astonishment with its very personal vision of refinement and elegance. The interplay of materials accentuates the singular atmosphere of its achievements. Juggling brilliantly and with style between metals, lacquers and leathers, velvets and varnished woods, Maison Numéro 20 mixes contemporary exuberance with the elegance of classical proportions. Definitively on Left Bank (Rive gauche), its designer label cultivates Art as a way of life.

20 • XX

In numerology, the number 20 is synonymous with harmony and balance, embodies the requirement and stimulates intuition.
These complementary features are all the DNA of our decoration studio. Like a symbolic figure, the number 20 is obviously drawn.

Oscar Lucien

Oscar Lucien’s passion for interior design and decoration began in childhood. He went on to study art history and fell in love with paintings by the masters and Caravaggio. His dream then came true in 2003 thanks to collector Bertrand Cheuvreux, who asked him to design the layout for his 5,400-m2 gallery in Barcelona. Also known as Oscar Ono, the designer later began creating his first projects.

Based in his Maison Numéro 20 showroom in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, he and his team developed the interiors of private luxury apartments and villas owned by clients in Paris, Ibiza, London and Miami. A bold, high-design style and a personal vision of sophistication and elegance have become Oscar Lucien’s trademark. “An identity based on that of the designers of yore”, he says. “A combination of architecture and art in which a culture of detail, comfort, fine materials, and light create flawless, harmonious interiors.”

As well as private residences, Oscar Lucien also works on the decor of luxury hotels, bars and restaurants. His work includes an haute-couture project for the Derby Alma hotel, a creative, fanciful space for the Maison Nabis hotel, and a festive, Belle-Epoque spirit in the revamped bar and private salons of the Paradis Latin cabaret. Oscar Lucien also received Prize for Originality at the Luxury and Creation Talent Awards.

Dream, make you dream, transmit, share, to be respectful of heritage, of traditions and know-how while providing innovation and modernity. A questionning of real sense of design which isn’t superficial, this is the idea we have of our job as a designer.
